Not a Nikon Product
This is NOT a Nikon BM-5, and both the picture and the "by Nikon" attribution are FALSE. This is a cheap knock-off made of inferior plastic, and the "clear" area through which you view the LCD is warped and distorts the image. It does clip onto the my D70s, and I suppose it might be alright in a pinch if you bought it for two bucks on eBay, but if I had known this was not a real Nikon BM-5, there's no freaking way I would have paid ten bucks for this.
This will be returns for refund as soon as possible, because the item delivered was not the one described.
What the heck is this?
What kind of company would sell or manufacture an optical product to be fitted to a high end camera that you can't even see through. My old original that has minor scratches was far better than this new item. I threw it away and can't even justify the time to send it back. It doesn't deserve the minimum one star I am required to give it. The products title is "Nikon LCD Monitor Replacement Cover for D70S SLR", but is not made by Nikon. What a waste of time.
